UK: Property management specialist Rendall & Rittner has appointed Denzil Baisden as community engagement officer.
His role will be key to strengthening the sense of community experienced by residents living in developments managed by the company, which is one of the largest managers of BTR developments in the UK.
After spending five years working as a hotel concierge for Hilton, Baisden moved to Rendall & Rittner in 2009. Initially working as a member of the concierge team, he moved to the head office to work in the estate operations team. Having briefly left to work as an account manager for Abbatt Property Recruitment, he returned to Rendall & Rittner in 2019 as divisional operations manager. Denzil also works as a school governor and has volunteering experience at a YMCA community centre.
While his predecessor Mark Gomes has moved to another part of the business, Baisden will focus on a series of events for residents across Rendall & Rittner’s nationwide property portfolio, which includes more than 80,000 residential units throughout the UK, from small high-end buildings through to some of London’s largest regeneration schemes.
Baisden said: “Rendall & Rittner has helped me develop my skills and progress in my career. The company is great at matching the right people to the right roles and I am really looking forward to utilising my skills in my new role as community engagement officer. I hope that the events run by Rendall and Rittner will encourage a growing sense of community within the developments we manage. I’m most looking forward to planning a calendar of events that residents can enjoy all year round. With Easter and the Queen’s Jubilee both rapidly approaching, I’ll be getting stuck into the diverse range of events currently being planned.”
Managing director Richard Daver said: “With community development at the centre of what we do, we are delighted that Denzil is our new community engagement manager. His passion for customer service and promoting community cohesion will be vital for this role. In his new position, Denzil will ensure that residents at developments across our portfolio are able to engage within their communities.”
