UK: A new real estate investment platform, SevenCitiesLdn, has officially launched with £100 million in capital support from Birmingham-based developer SevenCapital.

The London-based venture said it will focus on acquiring and repositioning value-added real estate assets across London, the south -east, and key regional UK cities.

The firm plans to invest in properties valued between £5 million and £30 million across various sectors, including commercial, residential, student accommodation, retail, hospitality, and leisure.

SevenCitiesLdn is co-founded and led by Giles Hoare and Cameron Mitchell, who came from the development, investment, and asset management company Thackeray Group. Hoare, a former investment director, also worked for London & Cambridge Properties and Cushman & Wakefield. Mitchell departs his role as development director, having joined Thackeray in 2019 from CBRE.

SevenCitiesLdn said it will focus on repositioning underperforming assets and delivering high-quality, sustainable projects that appeal to institutional capital and occupiers alike.

Giles Hoare, director at SevenCitiesLdn said: “The UK real estate market continues to offer compelling opportunities for those with the vision and agility to act decisively. With the backing of SevenCapital, we have the firepower and platform to make a meaningful impact.”

Damien Siviter, group managing director at SevenCapital said: “SevenCitiesLdn is an exciting new venture, with an enterprising vision and approach to transforming the built environment that both aligns with our values and adds a new dynamic to the SevenCapital Group. I look forward to supporting and developing the business as it establishes itself and grows.”
