UK: Developer HB Reavis has appointed architects PLP to oversee the conversion of a six-storey office building in London into student accommodation.

The Slovakian-based developer will make its first move win to the purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) sector with the development at 10 Leake Street.

The building is close to Waterloo train station and will offer a mix of studios and shared accommodation.

The firm held its first public consultation on the plans last weekend with another event scheduled for this week. A second round of consultation is due next month with proposals due to be submitted to Lambeth planners later in the summer. Planning consultants DP9 are also working on the scheme.
