UK: A mixed-use scheme consisting of new offices, homes and student accommodation is being created at a major urban regeneration project near Bristol’s Temple Meads station.
Developer and architect StudioHIVE is creating the development at Silverthorne Lane.
The 12-acre site sits in the heart of Bristol’s Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone (TQEZ).
It will feature Oasis Academy Temple Quarter – a new 1,600 place comprehensive secondary school and sixth form, new academic and office space for the University of Bristol, and cycle and pedestrian routes within landscaped areas and public open space, including a new canalside walk.

Within the scheme Bristol-based StudioHIVE is bringing forward 430 BTR homes plus workspace in The Iron Works, in partnership with Singapore-based construction and civil engineering specialist Woh Hup and Atlas Land Ltd.
It is also providing around 70,000 square feet of new office space within St. Vincent Works, a grade II-listed building formerly occupied by Aardman Animations and at The Timber Yard, a student accommodation scheme on the banks of the feeder canal. This is also in partnership with Atlas Land and Woh Hup.
Jason Collard, director of StudioHIVE, said: “We at StudioHIVE are incredibly proud to be helping to deliver a major component of such a significant regeneration project in our home city.”
The Timber Yard is expected to be completed in 2026 and The Iron Works, residential development and St. Vincent Works, in 2029.
