UK: Redevco and Swiss Finance & Property UK have secured planning consent for a 391-unit BTR scheme in Glasgow’s West End.

The new homes, at Minerva Way, Finnieston, will be delivered across two buildings on a 1.6-hectare site, which will also feature extensive landscaping.

The scheme is designed to be one of the most sustainable residential developments in Scotland and will feature air source heat pumps, EV charging points and no fossil fuel use. Redevco is targeting net zero carbon in operation for the scheme.

Chris Fleetwood, deputy COO real estate at Redevco, said: “Redevco has a long history of property ownership and development in Glasgow, and we are delighted to have achieved this important milestone on this key site creating the opportunity to add much-needed housing to the city in line with our aim to contribute to enriching communities and making urban areas more sustainable and liveable.”

Philipp Braunwalder, CEO of Swiss Finance & Property UK, added: “We are proud to be part of this transformative redevelopment scheme, anticipating much-needed housing to address Glasgow’s critical housing shortage while meeting the highest standards of design and sustainability. Glasgow remains one of the most attractive destinations to live and work and this achievement is a testament to the dedication and collaboration of our partners and service providers.”
