Greater Manchester BTR scheme breaks ground

UK: A ground-breaking ceremony has been held for a development of 272 BTR apartments and commercial space in Eccles, Greater Manchester.

Chinese state-owned developer and construction company BCEGI has been appointed by Arelsco and Silverlane Developments to bring forward the 24-storey residential tower, which will be named Church Street Place.

The scheme will offer 7,300 square feet of commercial space at ground level along with 19 car parking spaces and 168 cycle spots.

Designed by Jeffrey Bell Architects and managed by Silverlane Developments, Booth King has been appointed as structural engineer with Ridge providing M&E services. Completion is expected in Q2 2025.

Dongwen Yu, lead director at BCEGI, said: “We are delighted to take on the delivery of Church Street Place for Arelsco, helping to create new homes for people and the community.
