UK: BTR operator Dandara Living has secured planning consent for 303 rental homes in High Wycombe.

The company will redevelop the Chilterns Shopping Centre in High Wycombe to include 303 BTR homes, the retention and refurbishment of local heritage assets, the refurbishment of six retail units and extensive public realm work.

Dandara Living’s plans for the scheme include the deliver of 303 Build to Rent homes, the retention and refurbishment of local heritage assets, the refurbishment of six retail units and extensive public realm work.

All apartments at the scheme, which has been designed by Aros Architects and landscape architect Define, will be highly energy efficient. Residents will benefit from access to several shared amenities including social and workspaces, external terraces and outdoor space, and 24/7 onsite management.

The two four- to 10-storey buildings will be separated by a new pedestrian street, which will provide seating areas and extensive planting. This public space will be open for residents and the public to use and will improve the flow of traffic and people through the town centre.

Rachel Allwood, planning director at Dandara Living, said: “We’re delighted the redevelopment of the Chilterns Shopping Centre has been approved by Buckinghamshire Council. It will play a key role in the significant transformation of this part of the town centre and will hopefully act as a catalyst for further investment into the town. It has been a long pre-application process to get to this stage and we thank all stakeholders involved in the engagement to date.”
