UK/Ireland: Homes for Students has launched Orla Living, a pan-European PBSA and flex living operator.

The new Dublin-based brand aims to “redefine modern living with stylish, community-focused spaces for students and young professionals, blending smart design, vibrant social experiences and hassle-free living across Europe”.

Under Orla Living, Homes for Students has committed capital to establish a broader residential living platform across Europe, initially focusing on Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany and the Nordics across PBSA, residential, senior and flexible living.

Orla Living will provide a range of services, including technical design advisory, NOI modelling, marketing, leasing, operations and facilities management.

Homes For Students manages direct let, nominated and lease properties. It operates more than 200 properties, with over 52,000 beds across 55 towns and cities. In May last year it received significant investment from Singapore-based Far East Orchard, which acquired a 49 per cent stake in the company.

CEO Martin Corbett said: “This is an exciting time for Orla Living with demand growing across the continent and we’re evolving and expanding our services to support new and existing clients with their living portfolios. A strong balance sheet allows us to continuously invest in our platform to drive and improve efficiencies, with a more competitive approach to investors and developers across the European living sector. Our extensive infrastructure and scale of nearly 60,000 units under management, including a wealth of expertise in BTR and coliving through VervLife, mean we will leverage value for money, minimise lease-up costs and optimise investor returns. Our formula for success remains unchanged: a hands-on approach combined with market insight and service excellence.”
