UK: Johnny Langton, former managing director of operations at Greystar, has joined a new UK living platform founded by PBSA veteran Tim Butler.
Langton is joining the venture as head of operations, and Butler is CEO.
In October 2025 the venture received a £500 million investment from AustralianSuper, Australia’s biggest pension fund.
Langton brings more than 12 years of real estate experience. Prior to Greystar, he was interim managing director at Student Roost after it was acquired by the firm in 2022.
“Our focus is on creating a market leading living platform that is grounded in a commitment to high-quality customer service,” said Butler. “There is a clear market opportunity to create a brand that people want to stay with throughout each stage of the rental cycle. Johnny’s track record in driving customer experience and culture will be a key part of achieving that.”
The platform currently has no name, but has ambitions to become one of the top five operators of UK rental homes in the next five years.
The business has also recently hired Richard Simpson, from Olympian Homes, to head its investment division.
