UK: HomeByHone, a new build-to-rent (BTR) operator has launched, with a pipeline of more than 900 units.

The company’s first location, Dalston Works, is a former PRS building in east London featuring 102 apartments over six blocks including and 30,000 square feet of commercial space. The project is one of the largest cross-laminated timber CLT buildings in the world.

Other locations in the pipeline include Barking, Manchester, and Liverpool. The company is opening a limited round of strategic operating mandates and can offer founder-level fees for the first two years to early clients.

Gavin Wogman, CEO of HomebyHone, said: “After almost three decades in property, I’m incredibly proud to launch a brand that is intentionally restless, shaped by my many years in asset management and hands-on development and built around the belief that small details change whole experiences. Like me, Hone is always observing, always improving — day by day, detail by detail and supported by a fully-integrated BTR operation that can deliver institutional risk management and investor-grade reporting, without sacrificing resident experience or NOI uplift. This project has been deeply personal for everyone involved over the past 18 months as we believe homes should feel comfortable, considered and connected from day one — because smooth living doesn’t happen by chance. It’s built on solid systems, thoughtful design and a team obsessed with the backstage work: frictionless onboarding, faster fixes, cleaner brighter spaces and stronger long-term partnerships. Great resident experiences start long before someone picks up a key.”

“Having built credibility and recurring revenue with current investors including two successful ERV strategies, we are now ready to approach strategic real estate private and institutional investors and funds to showcase how the heavily invested technology management platform can grow profitability for future clients who want to capture the rising demand for professionally managed rental housing. The platform is built to compress lease-up timelines. reduce Lifecycle OPEX leakage, increase ERV and reduce churn, ensure compliance without eroding yield, and deliver reporting at the level funds require. Hone with its credible experience and in-house expertise can also advise clients across the full lifecycle of residential asset development and operation, including advice on site acquisition, design, marketing, letting and operational management,” he added.

Juliet Self, formerly of Dandara Living, is Hone’s director of operations and customer experience; while Levii Rosemin is head of front of house.
