UK: Build-to-rent (BTR) developer Placefirst has launched a 104-home single-family rental (SFR) scheme, Chingford Meadows, in Bilborough, Nottingham.

Delivered in partnership with homebuilder Strata and affordable housing provider Auxesia Homes, the project will comprise 70 three-bedroom and 34 four-bedroom homes.

The first homes are expected in 2026, with full completion scheduled for 2028.

The homes will include private gardens, EV charging points and photovoltaic (PV) panels. Auxesia and Placefirst have jointly acquired S106 and BTR units for the scheme.

This is the second SFR scheme by Placefirst and Strata, with a combined goal to develop 500 SFR homes by 2028.

Henry Marshall, CIO at Placefirst, said: “Chingford Meadows is a strong testament to the success that sustained partnership can bring. This project brings high-quality rental homes to the East Midlands’ largest city, helping to address a significant shortage in the private rental market.”

Gemma Smith, CEO at Strata, said: “This is our first Midlands-based SFR scheme with Placefirst. Working collaboratively with Nottingham City Council and Auxesia, we’re unlocking long-term social and economic value for the city.”
