UK: Investment and development company Zephyr X has submitted plans for a 23-storey BTR scheme in Manchester city centre.
The 237-unit scheme, consisting of one- and two-bedroom apartments, will be situated at the corner of Carnarvon Street and Cheetham Hill Road.
Construction could begin later this year, if the application is successful.
The building has been designed by Manchester-based architects, Hawkins\Brown. It will complement the cluster of new buildings emerging around the Great Ducie Street, Green Quarter and Red Bank area.
Graham Haydon-White, managing director at Zephyr X, said: “We have taken the next exciting step on our journey to deliver a fantastic new residential development at Cheetham Hill Road by submitting a detailed planning application following our consultation with local stakeholders. Our proposals offer an exciting opportunity to support the ongoing regeneration of this increasingly vibrant corner of Manchester and to help meet the established demand for high quality accommodation in the city centre.”
He added: “Being just a 10-minute walk from Victoria Station, with easy accessibility to additional public transport, this is an exceptionally sustainable location for our new build-to-rent development.”
