UK: Construction has topped out on the 284-home Build to Rent (BTR) development at Well Meadow in Sheffield, a regeneration project backed by the UK’s largest listed residential landlord, Grainger plc.
Delivered by contractor GRAHAM and developer Panacea Property Development, the scheme comprises two residential buildings offering a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments in the Well Meadow Conservation Area, near Kelham Island and the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
Designed for the rental market, the development will feature high-quality homes and a range of amenities including co-working space, a resident lounge, gym, and support from Grainger’s onsite Resident Services Team.
Peter Reavey, regional director at GRAHAM, said: “This new BTR development will significantly enhance Sheffield’s residential offer, providing high-quality accommodation in a thriving location that is benefitting from wider regeneration efforts.”
Mike Keaveney, director of land and development at Grainger plc, said: “We know from our existing sites that people really value the combination of high-quality homes and excellent service that we deliver. This is our second scheme in Sheffield and our fourth in Yorkshire.”
Neil Patten, managing director at Panacea, said: “Despite challenging market conditions, the collaboration between GRAHAM, Grainger and Panacea has helped us reach this key milestone.”
