US: Post Chicago, a 431-bed coliving asset in Chicago‘s Lincoln Park neighbourhood has welcomed its first residents.

Located at 853 W. Blackhawk Street, Post is the first coliving community in Lincoln Park, and the city’s largest. It is targeting students, corporate transferees and others looking for flexible furnished housing for at least six months. The property will be managed by tech-driven coliving and residential property operator Tripalink

Those renting a furnished single room, with a shared bath, in a four-bedroom apartment will pay between $1,400 and $1,700 a month. That includes a living room, dining room and kitchen, plus shared building amenities. Unfurnished two-bedroom and studio units are also available. Studios range from $1,786 to $2,174, and it’s $3,271 to $3,996 for a two-bed, two-bath unit.

Amenities include in-unit washers and dryers, workout facilities, a deck with grills, couches and fire pits, and working areas with privacy booths and party rooms.

“Coliving at Post Chicago is a fun, affordable way to reside in one of the city’s most walkable neighbourhoods while making new friends and experiencing all there is to do in this area,” said Jeff Berta, senior director of real estate development at Structured Development, the company behind the three-building residential project that includes Post Chicago. “For many households, rent is their biggest monthly expense, so Post Chicago is another way we are promoting equitable housing in a location that might otherwise be unattainable.”
