Ireland: Niche Living, the owner and operator of Ireland’s first purpose built coliving development has partnered with Spike to use its resident engagement portal, Spike Living.
Niche Living Dun Laoghaire, in South Dublin, opened in April this year, comprising 204 studios, with amenities such as communal kitchens, shared lounges, onsite gym and fitness club, games room, cinema, 24/7 concierge service, coworking spaces and private meeting rooms. The building also features a rooftop terrace with panoramic views across the city, mountains, and Dublin Bay.
Spike has worked with Niche Living to create its member app, a white-labelled version of the Spike Living portal. Residents can directly message staff asking for help and advice, log maintenance issues, and monitor the progress on requests they have made such as requesting cleaning.
Residents can also meet and get to know each other through the app, as well as arranging their own events, with the knowledge that only their neighbours have access to the network.
For staff, the portal helps to streamline and centralise key operational processes such as reporting of maintenance issues, delivery management, as well as the organisation and promotion of all social events and activities via the Spike Living management dashboard. The portal allows staff to share important news and updates about the development instantly via push notifications.

Niche Living is the first operational coliving scheme to be delivered in Ireland, and one of just five to be granted planning consent before the government introduced a ban on new coliving schemes.
