UK: Developer Kosy Living is redeveloping the Crown and Sceptre pub in Streatham, south London, in to a coliving development.

The site will be transformed into a “new modern and affordable coliving scheme”, with the Crown and Sceptre pub, which is mentioned in The Clash song Stay Free, being retained on the ground floor.

A proposal for the scheme has been put forward to Lambeth Council. It showcases the architecture by Kosy Design – the company’s in-house design team.

The proposed scheme will use “high-quality and locally sourced materials throughout the development” and will aim for a BREEAM Excellent rating.

Targeted at young professionals, the coliving scheme will “provide residents with the opportunity to live in an affordable and social environment”. Amenities will include a gym, coworking facilities and a landscaped roof terrace.

Paul Brundell, CEO of Kosy Living, said: “Kosy Living are excited bring back to life this locally acclaimed public house in the heart of Streatham with its great links to music legends, bringing a new lease of life to the area around Streatham. Kosy Living is once again contributing to the local housing supply and adding life to this bustling community.”
