Australia: Botanic Suites, a newly built coliving asset in the Sydney suburb of Lane Cove has been sold for AUS$13.7 million.
The building was sold by Colliers on behalf of local developer Daoud Investments Pty Ltd. The buyer is Mindarie Pty Ltd, a local private investor.
Completed in 2025, Botanic Suites is a six-storey complex featuring 27 fully furnished, self-contained apartments, a rooftop communal lounge and secure basement parking. Located just seven kilometres from Sydney CBD, the property offers good connectivity to employment hubs including Chatswood, Macquarie Park and North Sydney.
“As Australia’s housing landscape transforms, coliving stands out as a strategic investment aligned with modern living preferences. With its ability to combine affordability, community and convenience, co-living is not just a trend; it represents a structural shift in how we think about residential real estate,” said Harry Bui, Colliers head of Asia markets.
Australian industry forecasts predict robust growth in investor demand for coliving and build-to-rent (BTR) developments in the next five years. The sectors are positioned to benefit from demographic shifts, urbanisation trends and the increasing desire for shared living experiences.
