Germany: Tech-enabled apartment operator NUMA Group has expanded its portfolio in Germany, signing an additional 304 units across four new buildings in Berlin.
The first of the new NUMA apartments is located at Boxhagener Straße. The 86-apartment hotel was originally built in 2012 and modernised in 2019.
NUMA is leasing the property from a fund advised by Coros Advisory GmbH. The reopening of the property is scheduled for summer and will mark the third NUMA location to open in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg.
The second property is a new building adjacent to the historic Kant-Garagen. It comprises 61 units and was built to the latest sustainable standards.
NUMA’s third new location is in Berlin-Wedding, to the north of the city centre. The property has 89 apartments and is currently undergoing renovation with a scheduled relaunch by 2026.
A fourth 68-unit NUMA property has also been secured. Whilst details have not yet been released, the site is located in a “popular East Berlin neighborhood.”
Dimitri Chandogin, president of NUMA Group, said: “The new properties expand the NUMA portfolio to 12 sites in prime locations in Berlin. The German capital is one of Europe’s leading tourist hotspots and is at the heart of our pan-European expansion strategy. Berlin’s fashionable neighborhoods perfectly embody the individual flair that also makes NUMA’s accommodations so unique.
“We continue to see a large supply vacuum in Berlin for custom designed, high-comfort and fully-digital boutique apartments,” he added.
NUMA operates more than 3,800 units in Europe including locations in Berlin, Munich, Rome, Milan, Madrid, Barcelona, and Vienna.
