UK: Real estate agent Avison Young has launched a residential site opportunity in Leeds city centre, bringing to market a site on Belgrave Street with potential for built-to-rent (BTR), coliving, or student accommodation.
The 0.44-acre freehold site sits within a vibrant rental market, with 50 per cent of local residents in the private rented sector, well above the regional average.
Avison Young has been appointed to find a joint venture partner to work with Wharfedale Property, a Yorkshire-based asset manager with holdings across commercial property sectors.
The selected partner will support design, planning, and delivery of the high-rise scheme.
The immediate vicinity already hosts several student residences, with Leeds Beckett University just 0.3 miles away and the University of Leeds 0.9 miles distant.
Lewis Hedley, associate director for residential investment at Avison Young, said: โThis site represents one of the most exciting high-rise residential development opportunities currently available in Leeds. We’re seeking a partner with a strong track record and commitment to ESG, who can deliver a standout scheme in a thriving city centre location.โ
The deadline for submissions is 30 September 2025, with exclusivity and commercial negotiations to begin in November.
