UK: Empiric Student Property has bought Tatton House, a 136-studio PBSA asset on Manchester’s Hathersage Road, for £19.75 million.

WUKPG sold the asset on behalf of a syndicate of Chinese investors.

The property is located opposite Victoria Point, another student scheme where Empiric has planning permission for a comprehensive redevelopment project.

The developer’s ambition is to reconfigure – and in some cases demolish – the existing six blocks at Victoria Point and increase the number of beds by 310 to 876 overall.

The addition of Tatton House to its portfolio takes the number of beds Empiric owns on Hathersage Road to more than 1,000.

Tatton House was developed in 2016 by Solidagent Investment and was designed by Condy Lofthouse Architects.

Cushman & Wakefield represented Empiric. Slater Heelis acted for the syndicate of Chinese investors.
