UK: A Leeds office building is set to be redeveloped for student accommodation after changing hands for £5 million.

Property consultancy Savills, on behalf of housing association Yorkshire Housing, has completed the sale of Dysons Chambers in Leeds city centre to PBSA developer Studious.

The former office building comprises 26,485 square feet of space across four floors in a prominent position on Lower Briggate, one of the city’s busiest streets.

Patrick Carter, office agency director at Savills Leeds, said: “We’re delighted to have completed this sale on behalf of Yorkshire Housing, which will see the property undergo a significant change of use. With its excellent city centre location, Dysons Chambers held strong appeal for developers and this sale will see prime student housing brought to one of the most central locations in Leeds.”
