UK: Contractor HG Construction has secured its first project in Birmingham after being appointed by Fusion Group to deliver a 622-bed purpose built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme. The value of the contract has not been disclosed.
The development, designed by Corstorphine & Wright architects, will spread across four blocks ranging from eight to 17 storeys.
Amenities will include landscaped outdoor areas, a basketball court, a two-storey gym, a yoga studio, and a wellness zone.
HG has previously worked on PBSAs in Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle.
HG Construction chief executive Adam Quinn said: “This scheme marks an important milestone for HG Construction as we continue to expand our presence across the UK, and we are delighted to be announcing our partnership with Fusion Group to deliver this landmark project in Birmingham.

The PBSA scheme adds to Fusion Group’s development pipeline, which now totals more than 11,000 bedrooms across the UK.
