UK: Rangeford Villages has opened Homewood Grove, a later living development for the over 60s in Chertsey, Surrey.

An official opening event saw reservists, prospective buyers, the local community and representatives from Rangeford Villages come together to celebrate the milestone. The Mayor of Runnymede was in attendance to cut the ribbon, formally marking the opening of the village.

The retirement village features 116 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with onsite amenities and 24/7 support services. The amenities have been designed to encourage residents to lead an active lifestyle. Facilities will include a wellbeing centre (pool, steam room and sauna), gym, dance studio, cinema room, and a hair and beauty salon. Residents will also be able to make use of the on-site village shop, bar, lounge and restaurant.

Howard Nankivell CEO at Rangeford Villages commented: “Today marks a very special milestone for Homewood Grove. Not only is it great to see so many people coming together to celebrate the village’s official opening, but it’s also the first opportunity for our reservists, prospective buyers and members of the local community to see the state-of-the-art facilities on offer here. It’s been great to see everyone looking around the Showhomes, Pavilion, Revive Spa, and Oak and Honey Restaurant.”

“The lifestyle on offer at Homewood Grove is unmatched. Residents can feel supported whilst maintaining their independence. The high-quality homes and impressive facilities mean residents have everything they need on their doorstep, we’re looking forward to watching this community flourish. We are already receiving lots of sales enquiries and would encourage those interested to arrange a visit to find out about the extensive range of properties, amenities and services available at this stunning contemporary community,” he added.

The project was delivered by Willmott Dixon, which started on site in May 2022.
