UK: Developer Tiago Properties has been granted planning consent for a 30-storey student tower in Park Royal, west London.

Designed by architects Maccreanor Lavington, the scheme was approved by the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation.

It will be located just to the north of Acton Town Centre and contain 888 studio units for students, amenity and teaching spaces, 2,000 square metres of workspace and 32 affordable homes.

The scheme consists of two buildings, a main triangular tower on Park Royal Road and a smaller nine-storey block to the south containing the affordable housing and commercial space.

Maccreanor Lavington’s associate director Ken Thompson said: “We are thrilled to secure planning permission for this transformative development on Park Royal Road. Our project will deliver PBSA studios, affordable homes, over 2,000 square metres of workspace, and enhanced green public spaces. It will revitalise the area with urban street frontages and upgraded active travel connections, addressing both student and affordable housing needs.”
