UK: Bristol City Council has granted planning permission for a mixed-use BTR, aparthotel and hotel scheme in Temple Quarter.
Plans include 108 build-to-rent apartments operated by fund abrdn, a 168-room aparthotel operated by room2, and a 234-room hotel operated by Dalata Maldron.
The scheme will also include the creation of public open space and access to the harbourside walkway.
The eight-storey hotel will be located in Block A and is set to include nearly 7,500 square feet of ground floor commercial space as well as a restaurant.
The seven-storey Block B will be occupied by the aparthotel, while Block C will be a maximum of 10 storeys and will accommodate the BTR units.
Land known as Plot 3 Temple Quay, which has sat vacant for 30 years located within the city’s Temple Quarter, has been earmarked for the project.
It will be delivered by IKB Developments and managed by Marick Real Estate, with architecture by Sheppard Robson. Funding has been provided by abrdn.
Planning permission was first sought in December 2022. Revised plans for the project were submitted in July, October and November the following year.
Bristol City Council granted permission for the construction of all three buildings on 23 August 2024.
