UK: An application for a 160-units coliving development, under the name of 1-4 Bereford Square, has been submitted to Greenwich Council.

The application was submitted by property investment company Buccleuch Property, with Packaged Living assigned as the developer, and refers to a site on Beresford Square, in Woolwich, south-east London.

The proposal involves the demolition of the existing currently vacant building, to facilitate a mixed-use redevelopment comprising the coliving scheme on floor 5 and 6.

The development would also include ancillary facilities like cycle and accessible car parking, refuse and recycling facilities  and 125 square metres of commercial floorspace.

If approved, building is expected to commence in June 2026, with termination scheduled by the end of 2027.

The coliving scheme would be operated by VervLife, which operates several properties in London including sites in Wembley, Battersea, Croydon and Canary Wharf.

The application was validated by Greenwich council on July 28, which is expected to take a decision by late October assuming no time extensions.
