UK: Flex workspace company Koba has appointed Taylor Farrimond as head of operations.
He joins Koba from Industrious where he was head of operations for the EU and UK, managing all operational aspects of 12 locations and leading teams across six European cities.
Koba recently announced its first UK venture at AEW’s 100 Barbirolli Square in Manchester city centre, which has undergone a £30 million investment programme. Koba @ 100 Barbirolli Square will launch in early Q4 this year across two floors totalling 30,000 square feet within the 200,000 square foot Grade A office building.
With works commencing in Manchester and Koba set to unveil its second location in the forthcoming weeks, Taylor’s appointment will support the company’s ambitions to open three to four sites per year in “outstanding commercial buildings in the UK’s major cities”.
The company says it is “centred around redefining flexible workspace by embedding sustainability at the heart of its offering”.
Paul Nellist, managing director of Koba, said: “Taylor joins the business at a pivotal time as we prepare to commence works in Manchester on Koba @ 100 Barbirolli Square and unveil our next UK location. Having extensive experience of overseeing multiple UK and EU flex locations, in addition to the drive and dynamism to create positive change, Taylor was the ideal fit for this strategic role and we are delighted to welcome him to the team.”
Farrimond added: “The UK flex sector is on an upward trajectory and by taking an evidence-based approach to social impact and sustainability, Koba is bringing a fresh offer to the market at a time when there are exciting opportunities across major cities. By connecting with sustainable supply partners they are creating a fresh, simplified product in the market and I am looking forward to working with the team to roll out the vision and drive meaningful change in this rapidly growing sector.”
