UK: Adam Nickson has joined The Boutique Workplace Company as its first marketing director.

His appointment comes as the company grows to more than 40 locations nationwide. The company most recently signed a 15-year lease on 1 – 3 Frederick’s Place, a grade II listed building in London’s Bank, and expanded into Scotland securing 9 George Square, Glasgow alongside three other openings in 2024.

Nickson has been brought on board to “redefine The Boutique Workplace Company’s position in the market, driving towards the brand’s vision of representing the ultimate curated collection of workspaces in iconic addresses across London and beyond”. The company aims to be the go-to home for SME businesses that are seeking “an unrivalled and boutique client experience”.

Nickson was previously a key part of the team behind the go-to-market brand merger of The Office Group and Fora. Prior to joining Fora in 2023, he headed up UK marketing communications for Renault Group for three years, having also worked at Hyundai and Jaguar Land Rover. His 25-year career began in advertising, working at a number of London agencies, before joining the team at Dyson.

The Boutique Workplace Company was recently named one of the top five flexible workspace providers in London by number of locations, in a 2024 market report by Spaces To Places. The flexible space provider has secured and opened 13 new locations over the last four years, totaling 220,000 square feet.

Nickson said: “I’m joining Boutique at a pivotal moment for the brand. I’ve always relished joining businesses and brands where there’s great potential for growth or brand re-development. Boutique is now a major player in the market, has a really strong core team and positive values at heart. The senior leadership team has a clear, unified vision, and their desire for growth is inspiring. The product is already fantastic, making the marketing job clear. I look forward to getting cracking.”

Daniel Wheble, CEO of The Boutique Workplace Company, added: “We’re thrilled to welcome Adam to the team as our new marketing director. His depth of experience, industry knowledge, and strategic vision will be instrumental in taking Boutique’s brand to the next level. For over 15 years, we’ve built something special, and now, with Adam on board, we have the opportunity to truly refine our place in the market, drive growth, and create even more opportunities. I’m really looking forward to working with him and seeing the impact he will make.”
