US: San Francisco-based flexible office provider Pacific Workplaces is opening a new location in Downtown Sacramento on June 1st.

The space totals 11,590 square feet and will feature 38 private offices, an open coworking area with 16 dedicated desks, 20 open coworking seats, fully equipped meeting rooms, gig internet, virtual offices, and an events programme.

It is located near the Golden 1 Arena, close to State and Federal Courthouses, RT Light Rail, Interstate-5, and is 10 minutes from the Sacramento International Airport.

Laurent Dhollande, CEO of Pacific Workplaces, said: “We believe so much in the vitality of Sacramento that we are opening yet another location in the best part of downtown, with many restaurants, bars and other amenities within walking distance.” Dhollande added, “We are following the migration path of many professionals who left the San Francisco Bay Area to make Sacramento their new home.”

Pacific Workplaces has other locations in the Greenhaven/Pocket area, at Watt & Fair Oaks Blvd, in Roseville, and a total of 18 locations, in Northern California, Reno and Las Vegas.

Kim Seipel, marketing manager at Pacific Workplaces, added: “The Sacramento region is a critical component of the Pacific Workplaces portfolio as many of our members need touchdown space and satellite offices throughout Northern California. But we expect most of our members in J Street to be the local Sacramento movers and shakers and enjoy our really cool design.”

Workplace Studio, the Chicago-based designer of coworking spaces is responsible for the design of the space. “As a coworking operator, it’s important to be attentive to the evolving needs of various users. We accounted for flexibility and diverse spaces for heads-down work, networking, and connectivity,” said Mara Hauser, CEO of Workplace Studio. “People are looking for a workspace to comfortably work while still having a sense of community.”
