UK: A subsidiary of Far East Orchard (FEOR) is in talks with LDC (Portfolio) Limited, a subsidiary of Unite Students, to acquire a PBSA development site in London.

Far East Orchard Investment Holdings has entered into a non-binding heads of terms (HOT) with LDC (Portfolio) Limited for the proposed acquisition of the site at the junction of Borough High Street and Harper Road in London.

The HOT is not legally binding between the parties, and the consideration for the proposed acquisition has not yet been determined, according to a filing.

The proposed acquisition is likely to be undertaken through FEOR’s private student accommodation development fund, the limited partnership FE UK Student Accommodation Development (FESAD), along with other investors.

In November 2025, FEOR unveiled a raft of targets under its FEOR2030 five-year plan. FEOR aims to reach assets under management of $3 billion in core assets by 2050, up from $2 billion in 2025.

It also aims to reach 25,000 hotel rooms and 85,000 student beds in five years.

As at end-2025, FEOR owns and manages more than 18,000 hospitality rooms, and more than 3,700 PBSA beds in the UK. Developments in Bristol (706 beds), Glasgow (273 beds) and Manchester (239 beds), expected to complete between 2026 and 2028, will increase the portfolio to more than 4,900 beds upon completion.

FEOR plans to fully acquire Homes For Students (HFS), the UK’s largest independent PBSA operator, by 2030. With the inclusion of HFS, in which FEOR holds a majority 84 per cent stake, FEOR owns and operates around 60,000 PBSA beds.
