UK: PfP Students has been appointed to manage the purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) beds at the redevelopment of the University of Manchester’s Fallowfield campus.
The new Fallowfield accommodation has a GDV of £530 million and will provide 3,300 student rooms across five neighbourhoods, alongside a new central hub and extensive shared spaces designed to support students’ academic, social and wellbeing needs.
The scheme will be the largest Passivhaus student scheme in the world, and the UK’s largest pre-cast MMC-centred project.
The redevelopment, by developer GRAHAM, will be delivered through a 50-year partnership model between The University of Manchester, Equitix, GRAHAM and pension insurance specialist Rothesay, with cornerstone funding provided by Rothesay. The first 1,000 rooms are due to open in 2028.
PfP Students is partnering with the University of Manchester on the management of the accommodation and will manage the maintenance of all the rooms, as well as the common areas and grounds of the campus.
