UK: CallisonRTKL (CRTKL) has appointed Lydia Firminger as associate principal, to grow its London mixed-use and residential portfolio.
Firminger, who joined from Kohn Pedersen Fox, will have a particular focus on repurposing buildings. She has more than 17 years’ experience in designing and delivering residential and mixed-use projects in central London and Europe.
She previously worked with Capco on a masterplan to curate Covent Garden, as well as Floral Court and Earls Court Village for the landlord; and on Berkeley Group’s 600-home regeneration scheme Royal Arsenal Riverside in Woolwich.
She will work closely with CRTKL’s residential lead John Badman and its teams in London and Manchester to expand its BTR portfolio.
Todd Lundgren, EMEA managing principal at CRTKL, said: “Her expertise working on some of London’s most high-profile developments will help to fuel our ambitious growth pipeline as we look to make our mark on the fabric of the capital in new and innovative ways.”
Firminger said: “CallisonRTKL’s philosophy of taking a holistic, people-led view to designing schemes positions it perfectly to seize new opportunities that require a fresh perspective. Through creative thinking that considers the bigger picture, we can create integrated mixed-use solutions that blend old and new to provide truly exciting places, delivering value for all stakeholders.”
