UK: Flexible workspace provider Clockwise is expanding its office offering across the UK following growing demand from small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) for flexible workspace.
The company is expanding office space in a number of locations. In Glasgow and Liverpool, existing space is being reconfigured to create more offices for smaller businesses, while Exeter has opened a new phase of workspace to meet rising demand.
The expansion follows changing workplace trends, with more businesses looking for flexible offices that can adapt as they grow. Clockwise said hybrid working and demand for high-quality amenities continue to drive interest in flexible workspace.
The company also said Exeter is attracting a broader range of businesses than in previous years. While the city was once mainly associated with the technology sector, more professional services firms are now choosing flexible workspace.
According to Clockwise, demand for smaller office has grown throughout its network. In Glasgow, enquiries of private offices grew by 66 per cent in the first quarter of 2026 compared with the previous quarter, with 84 per cent of enquiries for offices being for one to six people.
The company now has 18 offices in the UK and mainland Europe and is looking at additional ones in other regional UK cities and Europe as demand for flexible workspace is increasing.
