UK: Flexible workspace provider WorkWell has announced plans to expand in the north of England, with ambitions to launch up to 10 new locations by 2035.

The Leeds-based operator, which currently runs two centres in the city and recently opened a flagship space in Harrogate, said it is eyeing expansion into professional hubs including Manchester, York, Edinburgh, Birmingham and further within Leeds.

The growth strategy includes both owned and leased spaces, though the firm aims to prioritise ownership to retain control of the working environments it creates.

Founded in 2007 at Carwood Park, east Leeds, WorkWell now supports 800 monthly users.

Managing director Oliver Corrigan said: “We’ve seen the positive impact of creating spaces where people genuinely enjoy working, and we’re excited to bring that to more businesses across the North.”

WorkWell’s latest acquisition was the Aire Street Workshops in central Leeds, a former council-owned building, now home to around 30 creative businesses.
