UK: Developer KMRE Group has submitted plans for a 96-unit BTR scheme in Leeds city centre.
KMRE Group (ATS), supported by ID Planning and Den Architecture, has submitted a full planning application to Leeds City Council for the development on the site of the former ATS Euromaster Ltd building.
Planning permission is sought for the partial demolition of the existing buildings and construction of a new 14-storey building comprising 96 BTR apartments.
Under the plans, the existing façades to Regent Street and Bell Street would be retained, including the classical bank façade at the south west corner and the art deco frontage to Regent Street and part of Bell Street.
A mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments are proposed, with amenities including a communal areas, resident’s gym and cinema room. A roof terrace is proposed on the second floor.
A planning statement accompanying the application said: “The proposal is demonstrated to occupy a highly sustainable location and will deliver a high-quality residential development of an attractive design. The proposal will make efficient use of a previously developed site and will maximise opportunities for sustainable travel by virtue of the sustainable location of the site and its proximity to an abundance of services and facilities available in the city centre.”
The application comes just a week after KMRE Group submitted a planning application for a 189-unit coliving scheme, also in Leeds.
