UK: ARK Shoreditch will open its third London coliving property this summer, featuring 194 studios across six floors.
The building on Hackney Road was formerly the Mama Shelter London Shoreditch hotel, and has been undergoing renovation since February.
ARK is offering flexible membership agreements with long-stay licenses ranging from three to 12 months, and short-stay options for one to 89 nights with dynamic nightly pricing. The members’ agreements offer all-in-one bills that include rent, utilities and council tax, Wi-Fi, cleaning and access to all shared facilities.
ARK Shoreditch will offer four studio types, ranging in size from 17 to 25.5 square metres. Prices start from £1,799 as an introductory offer on selected rooms (based on a 12-month agreement). There will be 162 studios for longer stays and 32 for short stay.
The long-stay studios feature ensuite bathrooms, kitchenettes, double beds, and a TV. Members will benefit from an events schedule and shared amenities including large kitchens, an internal garden, karaoke rooms, a gym, yoga room, a cinema and a playroom.
Differing from the brand’s other London coliving properties, in Canary Wharf and Wembley, the new location’s short-stay rooms have been designed as a typical hotel room with no kitchenettes. The new offering is aimed at short-term guests looking to build connections by cooking with other visitors during their stay.
Robert Alam, managing director at ARK Living, said: “This is an exciting time for ARK Living as we expand our co-living portfolio across London. ARK aims to build connections across new communities, fostering creativity through welcoming spaces and dependability. ARK Shoreditch will do exactly that, tapping into its vibrant and creative surroundings. We hope members will form connections with each other, as well as with the wider city and the rich heritage of the community they are in. We look forward to welcoming new members this summer.”
ARK Living is owned and operated by Crosstree Real Estate Partners. Its portfolio includes properties in Wembley and Canary Wharf. In addition to its coliving portfolio, ARK Living is set to launch student accommodation across the city, with the first location set to open in Canning Town, ready for the 26/27 academic year.
