UK: The Urban Land Institute (ULI) Europe has appointed Louis Lallouette, senior analyst at Greystar, as the new Chair of the ULI Europe Young Leaders Group.

He succeeds Ariana Maass, who has served as Chair since 2024 and led the group through a period of significant expansion. Under her tenure, the ULI Europe Young Leaders Group has grown to nearly 2,000 members, strengthening its position as one of Europe’s foremost networks for the next generation of real estate professionals.

Lallouette brings extensive ULI experience to the role. A member since 2022, he has been a highly active contributor to the ULI UK Young Leaders Committee for three years co-leading the Mentorship Programme, championing the PropTech Innovation Challenge, and serving as Vice Chair before becoming Chair of ULI UK Young Leaders. He has also contributed to broader ULI initiatives at both UK and European level.

At Greystar, Lallouette has worked across the UK investments team since 2022 and since January 2026, in EMEA capital raising. Prior to Greystar, he held roles in international development at Adagio Aparthotels. French by background and international by upbringing, Louis has lived across six countries. He holds a master’s in hospitality from Glion Institute of Higher Education and a master’s in real estate finance from the University of Cambridge.

Simon Durkin, CEO, ULI Europe, said: “Louis is an outstanding appointment as Chair of the ULI Europe Young Leaders Group. His energy, dedication and track record in our UK Young Leaders community make him ideally placed to build on the strong foundations Ariana has established. We are delighted to welcome him into this role at such an exciting moment for the group. I also want to express my sincere thanks to Ariana Maass for her exceptional leadership and commitment. She has been instrumental in growing the Young Leaders into the vibrant, pan-European community it is today, and we wish her every success in her next chapter.”

Maass added: “Leading the ULI Europe Young Leaders Group has been a tremendous honour, and I am proud of what we have achieved together particularly through our leadership education initiative and the continued growth of our membership across the continent. Louis and I have worked closely together over the past years, building a strong bond between the national and international Young Leaders communities, and I could not be more proud and excited to hand over the baton into his hands. Together with Louis and the team, we have already laid the groundwork this year to transform the Young Leaders Retreat into the Young Leaders Lab, an initiative I look forward to seeing flourish in the years ahead. I also want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the ULI European Executive Committee, Lisette van Doorn, Simon Durkin, Anne Kavanagh, the Young Leaders Executive Committee and the ULI team for their vision and tireless support in investing in the Young Leaders and in the future of the real estate industry.”

Louis Lallouette, incoming Chair, ULI Europe Young Leaders Group, said: “Real estate is a lifelong journey, from high school to senior leadership, and Young Leaders sits right at the heart of it. Our mission is to bridge every transition along that path, connecting, inspiring and leading across Europe. Within the UK committee, I always say: ‘We don’t own the platform; we are just passengers. Let’s leave it better than we found it.’ Thank you to Ariana Maass for her outstanding leadership and the foundation she has built at the European level, big shoes to fill, but the opportunity to extend it further is exciting. In a world where AI concentrates value and geopolitics fragments it, our collective intelligence has never mattered more.”
