ARL works “to bring together investors and operators of single-family houses with the housebuilders who deliver them, to create mutual understanding and collaboration, establishing long-term partnerships for new home delivery that meets the needs for professionally managed homes”. Particular focus of the ARL Single Family Housing committee is on:

The ARL Single Family Housing committee is also “driving engagement with policy makers and local authorities to improve understanding of the quality and value of suburban BTR delivery in providing high quality rental homes that meet local market needs, working in collaboration with the British Property Federation (BPF) to drive cross-sector collaboration and provide a clear voice to government and policy makers”.

ARL CEO Brendan Geraghty said: “This announcement of influential committee members reinforces the position of the ARL as the membership association for the institutionally backed UK Build to Rent sector. We recognise and fully embrace the importance of single-family housing and look forward to working with David and the committee to represent the interests of those investing in, developing and operating purpose-built, single-family rental homes.”

Reid added: “The experience and expertise of the ARL’s assembled committee reflects the strength of the Build to Rent sector and the crucial role it plays in meeting UK housing demands. However, there is more work to be done to scale up delivery of reliable, high-quality single-family housing. I look forward to working with the committee, in collaboration with investors, developers, and operators, to drive forward and deliver more much-needed quality rental homes.”
