Scotland: The University of Glasgow has entered into a £180m agreement with global investor Plenary Group to deliver the next phase of its campus development programme.
The initial phase will comprise four projects, with Plenary acting as developer and investor. The scheme is being backed by senior debt from Royal London Asset Management, while Arlington Collegiate UK will operate the student accommodation element.
The development will provide residential accommodation for students alongside two purpose-built innovation hubs, aimed at supporting research commercialisation, start-ups and university spin-outs.
The projects will further extend the University of Glasgow’s campus along Church Street in the city’s West End.
The campus development programme has already delivered four buildings and is currently constructing the £300m Keystone building, which is scheduled to open in 2028.
