Spain: Livensa Living has opened a Barcelona PBSA asset with 400 beds, its fourth property in the Catalan capital.
The new property has opened to coincide with the start of the 2026–2027 academic year and is located at Avinguda del Parallel, 25–37, in Sants-Montjuïc. It is close to the Parallel and Drassanes metro stations (Lines 2 and 3), with easy access to some of the city’s main university campuses, including Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Universitat de Barcelona, Elisava School of Design and Engineering, EADA and EAE.

As part of Livensa Living’s commitment to creating unique spaces within its buildings through its Urban Art programme, the new Barcelona Parallel residence features a large-scale urban art mural entitled La Distancia, created by Spanish artist Jay Kaes.
Based in London, Jay Kaes studied Fine Arts at the University of the Basque Country, and his murals can be found across all five continents. He has created works for public institutions, including the city councils of Barcelona and Gothenburg, as well as for companies such as Netflix and American Express. He is currently preparing his next solo exhibition at Galería Juan Silió in Santander, scheduled for late 2026.

Livensa was acquired from Brookfield Asset Management by Nido Living in a £1 billion deal last June.
