Spain: Leading Spanish coliving operator Dazia Capital has partnered with Fifa Interiors on two new flex living projects in the Madrid region.

The projects include a flagship 500-unit scheme in Valdebebas, close to Madrid Barajas Airport, alongside a substantial flex living development in Alcobendas. Both schemes are leasing strongly and described as best-in-class, setting a new benchmark for design quality, operational efficiency and resident appeal within the Spanish flex living market.

Dazia Capital, under its Calido Living brand, partnered with Fika Interiors at an early stage to shape the design and functionality of the schemes. The collaboration focused on optimising studio layouts, enhancing liveability, and delivering a cohesive resident experience aligned with modern urban lifestyles.

Daniel Mazin, CEO of Dazia Capital, commented: “Fika’s contribution went far beyond supplying furniture. Their early-stage design expertise helped us achieve optimum layouts and strong resident appeal across our Calido developments. The quality of execution and understanding of the flex living model has been exceptional.”

Fika Interiors delivered the projects via Flex Interiors LDA, its Iberian operating platform, which the company is now leveraging to support further expansion across Spain and Portugal.

Graham Bates, CEO of Fika Interiors, said: “Our objective has always been to provide real solutions that reflect how residents actually live today. Supplying furniture is only one part of what we do – and it comes much later than the critical planning phase. By engaging early, we help shape layouts, functionality and the overall resident experience, which ultimately drives leasing success and long-term asset performance.”

As part of its development process, Fika constructed a full-scale 22 square metre studio at its Leeds showroom. This prototype became the design model for the Calido flex living developments, allowing both teams to test lay-outs, refine storage solutions and perfect spatial flow before delivery at scale. Building on the success of these completed schemes, Fika is now actively working on a forward pipeline of almost 3,000 additional flex living units scheduled to come to the Spanish market.
