Plans submitted for Harrow coliving scheme

Harrow coliving
Reading Time: < 1 minute

UK: Developer Urbane London Limited (ULL) has submitted a proposal to build a five- to 10-storey coliving block in Harrow, north-west London.

Retaining the facade of the existing Post Office building, ULL will convert the ground floor into a cafe and coworking space open to the public, while the first and second floors would be coliving space.

Behind, a five- to 10-storey residential building would be constructed, adding 104 studio coliving units. Roughly 10 per cent of those units are planned to be accessible rooms.

A heritage statement in the plans call for the post office’s original street-facing facade to be preserved and improved. The property sits within Harrow’s Havelock Place Intensification Area, allowing for denser development in the existing town centre.

The scheme includes one disabled parking space and 63 cycle spaces, meaning residents will be encouraged to walk, bike or take public transportation.

A decision on the application is expected by late March.
